| "Second
Chance" Thrift Store
Thanks to everyone
for making the "Second Chance" a success!
| The
Salem Mission is all about second chances!!
|
Your used clothing (in good condition please), household items (furniture is our biggest seller - we are always looking for more), books and jewelry have a second chance to
help bring hope to homeless and hungry people. Pick up is available for larger itemsTuesday - Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Proceeds from the store support programs and services.
The thrift store::
- Provides clothing free of charge to our guests
- Provides needed income to support programs and services.
- Provides volunteer opportunities for people in
the community and shelter residents. Shelter guests can feel
good about themselves by giving back and earn credits to purchase
additional things they need including furniture and household
goods when they are ready to move out of the shelter.
- Provides work experience to trainees enrolled
in our job training program, including computer skills, retail
and customer service, building a work history, and preparing for
full time employment.
- Helps us control the volume of donated items
and put your generous contributions to work in support of all
the services and new programs we provide.
